Lebanon's name comes from the Arabic word for yoghurt, due to its resemblance to snow which mountainous Lebanon has in abundance. Also plentiful are snow
globes - almost every city, town and monastery has their own. As of 2012, Beirut's National Museum had possibly the best selection (including the above), whilst a souvenir shop on Hamra Street stocked some other rare ones.🔮
